Friday Schedule of Activities
Friday - June 19, 2009
5:00pm
- Woodcarvers Hospitality Tent opens.
- Local historical society hosting town history tour of Lumber Baron homes by horse and wagon. Tickets sold at booth: $6 adult and $2 children 12 and under.
- Pennsylvania Woodmobile on display.
- Demonstrations and carving presentations.
- Port's famous Friday Night Fish Fry being offered in our local eateries.
- Maple syrup and treats plus the original spun Maple Cotton Candy.
- Free viewing of instructional carving video at Hospitality Tent.
- Friends of the Library Book & Media Store on Main Street opens.
- Fresh Kettle Korn served warm from the pot.
- Food vendors serving dinners and snack menus.

- Advanced level carving class with limited seating available by professional instructor Debbie Barr. Call 814 - 642 - 2295 for advance registration.
- Free concert at the Town Square old fashion Gazebo. Lawn seating.
- Horse and Wagon History Tour. Tickets $6 adult and $2 children 12 and under.
- Displays of woodcrafts and artwork.
Town Square closes at dusk.

- Food vendors serving opening morning coffee and snacks.

- All day free demonstrations of tools and techniques.
- Carving presentations shown continuously by Club members.
- Meet Debbie Barr, published and recognized professional carver, for autographs.
- Food vendors offering full menu choices all day for all cravings.
- Free viewing of instructional carving video at Hospitality Tent.
- Friends of the Library Book & Media Store on Main Street open for browsing and sales.
- Chainsaw carver demonstration on site.
- All day music provided by handcrafted wood instruments with "Simple Faith" band.
- Shake paws with Smokey Bear, the best friend of forests.
- Meet Woodsy the Owl and give a hoot!
- Artisans showcase fine handcrafted items.
